Mr. Sushil Kumar Trisal S/o Smt. Phoola Trisal and Sh. The researcher worked on the title, “Development of Attack Modeling in Narrowband-Internet of Things” under the supervision of Prof.(Dr.) Sanjeev Jain, VC, Central University, Jammu and co-supervision of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jha. The candidate has published research papers indexed in SCI ranked journals and has presented papers at international conferences. He has also presented his work on Asia pacific Advanced Network (APAN-54, China) world forum. The candidate has worked on the topic, “A Vision-based Approach for Classification of Abnormal and Normal Gait using Effective Learning Models” under the supervision of Dr. Sunanda and co-supervision of Dr. Sakshi Arora, Assistant Professors, School of Computer Science & Engineering. She has published many research papers indexed in SCI/SCIE ranked high-reputed, SCOPUS journals and presented her research papers in various international conferences. It is pertinent to mentioned that Ms. Kour has created her own dataset which has been published on Mendley. Mr. Ishfaq Hamid, a Research Scholar at the School of Economics at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has successfully qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics. His research topic was “Impact of Corruption, Democracy and Political Stability on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Inflows in SAARC Countries,” which he completed under the supervision of Dr. Pabitra Kumar Jena, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics, SMVDU.The candidate received the Centrally Sponsored ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship, and he has published research papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI and ABDC-ranked journals. He has presented his research at various international and national conferences and has worked on different research projects sponsored by ICSSR and NITI Aayog. Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Faculty, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, has delivered an invited talk titled "Digital Transformation with healthy aging and Application of AI" on the occasion of Telecommunication Day celebrated, jointly organized by the Department of Computer Science, Department of Electronics and IETE Society, University of Jammu, Jammu. The talk primarily emphasized the unfolded opportunities that arise due to the increase in the size of older people as this is happening for the first time in the history of human evolution that the number of people aged over 60 years has outnumbered the people aged below five years old. The digital transformation and assistance will largely be levied for healthy aging. Dr. Gupta has covered the role of Artificial Intelligence in developing Apps to secure a healthy lifestyle while aging by monitoring body vitals and availing timely advice of medical practitioners.
Dr. Pooja Sharma of SMVDU delivered a special lecture on Cyber Crime at Sher-I- Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur. She initiated the session with the thrust on number of cyber crime cases like hacking, identify theft, fake profile, web defacement, cyber bullying and cyber stalking improving day by day and in order to mitigate them, various preventive measures can be taken.She also discussed email forensics as one of the tool to reduce cyber frauds and crime. Considering the demanding scenario of present digital world , cyber crime and email forensics are the need of the hour. The talk concluded with question and answer session, and was greatly appreciated by the participants
