One week training Program on “Disaster Resilience and Risk Management” for IFS officers is going to be organized at School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University during 7th-11th December, 2026 with financial support of Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India.
The aim of the training program is to provide practical expertise and examples of applied knowledge which will equip the officers with all relevant skills and tools needed in order to effectively respond to both natural and man-made disasters and resulting complex emergencies.
The Program utilizes existing strategies and tools, practical exercises, case studies, and interactive multi-cultural discussion to explore the key issues faced when handling disaster situations. This one-week Training program is planned exclusively for those IFS officers whose names appear in the list of trainees provided by Sponsoring Ministry of GoI for this event.
