Orientation Event welcomes New Students to School of Biotechnology at SMVDU

SMVDU:  The School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) warmly welcomed its new cohort of students during an inspiring orientation event held today. The School of Biotechnology in the current academic year have admitted students  in the undergraduate programmes of BTech ( Biotechnology ) and BSc Biotechnology; PG programme of MSc Biotechnology and in the PhD Biotechnology programme. The event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for students enrolled in the Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate programs at the institution, renowned for its excellence in biotechnology research and education. Dr. Ratna Chandra, Head of the School of Biotechnology, delivered the introductory remarks and introduced the esteemed faculty members, each of whom brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the institution. In a gesture aimed at fostering community spirit, the newly admitted students were invited to introduce themselves to the faculty and their classmates. This interactive session provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to begin building the connections that will support them throughout their academic journey. The orientation event also included a crucial session on academic rules and regulations,curriculum of study programme at SoBT and other activities  conducted by Dr. Shafaq Rasool, Assistant Professor ,SoBT and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs( Non – Engineering ) . Dr. Rasool's detailed explanation ensured that the students were well-acquainted with the guidelines that will shape their educational experience at SMVDU. The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the beginning of what promises to be an enriching and transformative academic experience for the new students at the School of Biotechnology.
