SMVDU Katra hosted visit of students from Govt. Polytechnic Reasi. The visit was organized to enhance knowledge/awareness among students about higher educational institutions. NSS volunteers of the University accompanied the school team during the visit. NSS Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar and Er. Deepak Byotra welcomed the faculty and students from the Polytechnic Institute. During the event the students visited the central workshop, network centre, academic area including labs, auditorium etc. The students were also briefed about the admission process for various courses and also informed about various facilities and achievements of the University by Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean Academic Affairs. Polytechnic students also showcased their talent by cultural performances. Around 50 students along with their teachers participated in the visit. Mr. B. K. Bhatia,T&P Officer, Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq, Associate Dean International and Alumni Affairs were also present during the event. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers for organizing the visit.
