Ms. Nivedika Kher, a final-year student at the School of Electrical Engineering (SoEE) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, presented her research paper at the 9th IEEE India International Conference on Power Electronics (IICPE-2023). Sponsored by the IEEE Delhi Section, IEEE PES-IAS & IEEE PELS-IES Delhi Chapters, the conference took place at DCRUST, Murthal, Sonipat, Haryana, from November 28th to 30th, 2023. Her paper, titled ‘Analysis of Power Modulations in Resonant Dual Active Bridge DC-DC Converter,’ explores the complexities of power modulations in the RDAB DC-DC converter, evaluating various pulse-width modulation techniques. The paper provides an in-depth comparison between the EPS and DPS power modulation techniques, aiming to achieve optimal power transfer efficiency throughout the entire operational range. A hybrid power modulation technique, combining EPS and DPS methods, is proposed in the paper. Scheduled for publication in IEEE Xplore, this research not only advances academic dialogue but also underscores SMVDU’s SoEE’s dedication to pioneering research and innovation.
