Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) is organising its Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 under the aegis of the Board of Professional Activities (BPA).
The event will witness participation from enthusiastic student teams formed within the university, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration among students from different branches. Each team will work on selected problem statements aligned with the themes of SIH 2026 and present innovative and feasible solutions to real-world challenges.
The participating teams will undergo a fair and transparent evaluation process by a panel of academic and/or industry experts, with projects assessed on parameters such as innovation, feasibility, technical implementation, scalability, and potential impact. The top-performing teams will be nominated for further participation in SIH 2026.
The Internal Hackathon is being conducted under the leadership of Dr. Ankush Raina, President, BPA, and coordinated by Dr. Sonika Gupta, Dr. Shashi Kotwal, Dr. Sunny Kumar Sharma, and Dr. Sakshi Arora.
Through this initiative, SMVDU aims to strengthen its culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technical excellence, while providing students with a platform to develop solutions capable of creating meaningful societal impact.
