A special session on the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview process for the defence forces was organized by the NCC Unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). The session was conducted by two proud alumni of SMVDU, Mr. Priyawart Lamba and Mr. Neeraj who have recently cleared the SSB interview and are set to join the Indian Armed Forces.
The interactive session aimed to provide insights into the entire SSB selection procedure, including screening tests, psychological evaluations, group tasks, personal interviews, and the conference round. The speakers shared their personal experiences, preparation strategies, and key takeaways from their journey, which served as valuable guidance for the aspiring candidates.
An extensive discussion followed the briefing, during which NCC cadets and other students actively participated, posing a range of queries related to the SSB process, preparation methods, and career prospects in the armed forces.
The event was graced by Mr. B.K. Bhatia, Training & Placement Officer, and Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, who encouraged the students to pursue careers in the defence services with dedication and confidence.
