In a significant step towards combating drug abuse, volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) actively participated in the ‘Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan’, an anti-drug campaign organized by the 6th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Dheerti. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the NSS coordinator, addressed the attendees, highlighting the commendable efforts of NSS SMVDU volunteers in local villages. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between locals, CRPF personnel, and the NSS unit to effectively tackle the issue of drug abuse among the youth. This initiative marks a crucial step in uniting various sections of the community against the menace of drug addiction.
