SMVDU: The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) proudly welcomed its distinguished alumnus, Mr. Swaraj Srivastava, from the 2018–2022 batch. Mr. Srivastava recently completed his post-graduation in 2024 from the prestigious IIT Hyderabad and is currently contributing his expertise at Qualcomm, a global leader in semiconductor technology. During his visit, Mr. Srivastava provided valuable feedback on the current curriculum, highlighting areas of strength and suggesting enhancements to better align academic programs with industry trends. He held an engaging meeting with faculty members, including Dr. Vikram Singh, Associate Professor, and interacted with the Head of the School of ECE, Dr. Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, along with Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma and Dr. Purnima Hazra. Discussions revolved around fostering stronger industry-academia connections and enhancing the practical components of the coursework. In his interaction with students, Mr. Srivastava shared insights on building a successful career in the field of VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration). He emphasized the need for a strong foundation in core subjects such as digital electronics, semiconductor physics, and CMOS technology. He also underscored the relevance of regular class attendance, focused preparation for competitive exams like GATE, and active participation in skill-building opportunities to ensure industry readiness.
