Vikalp SMVDU, aiming towards the students’ welfare, has been working to provide education to all the children coming from villages, namely Sira, Dheerti, Sool, Kakryal, and Jhajjar. This timeVikalp celebrated its 13th children’s day last week, where Prof. R.K.Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU was invited as the chief guest of the event and other faculty member were there as guests of honour.The celebration commenced with a brief introduction about children’s day. The guests were greeted with a warm welcome and a poem titled “Mai Bhi Vikalp Jaaungi” was recited by the students of Vikalp showing their devotion towards vikalp. This year’s theme “Vikalp Mania” filled everyone with splendour, rush and excitement. The performances were well synchronized with the theme starting with toddlers dancing on the tunes of “Ek Zindagi Meri” expressing their emotions about their dreams and passion. For some fun banter, the next performance was a group song titled “Hanikarak Bapu ” sung with great innocence. A prize distribution ceremony awarding all those who performed well was conducted after the celebration. Prof. R.K.Sinha delivered an inspiring speech to the young builders of our nation. He encouraged everyone to work hard and talked about the change we all can bring together as a community to treat every person irrespective of their background, section or class. To bring an end to this wonderful evening, a special vote of thanks by Shri Sumanta Sarathi Sharma, Faculty Coordinator of Vikalp. He appreciated all the volunteers and the children of Vikalp for their efforts to make this event a success. Vikalp expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, involved in making this celebration a successful and memorable event.
