A delegation of writers, poets and intellectuals led by Mohan Singh Slathia eminent writer, Sahitya Academy awardee and President Duggar Manch met Prof R K Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, and thanked him for introduction of post graduate course in the Dogri language.The delegation hailed the decision of LG Manoj Sinha in introducing Dogri Course in the SMVDU which would help in promoting Dogra language, heritage and culture. The Vice Chancellor, SMVDU informed the delegation that the new courses in Dogri and Hindi are being launched in pursuance to New Education Policy NEP which lays great emphasis on promotion of regional languages .Dr Sushma Rani, Dr Sarita Khajuria, and Rakesh Verma were also part of the delegation. Nagendra Singh Jamwal, JKAS Registrar and Dr Isha Malhotra HoD School of Languages and Literature were also present on the occasion.
