SMVDU Celebrates National Technology Day 2022

The School of Computer Science and Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) organized a webinar entitled “Ubiquitous Machine Learning and Applications”, to commemorate the National Technological Day which is celebrated to highlight the achievements of engineers and scientists in the field of technology and science. The date coincides with the day on which India successfully conducted a series of nuclear tests at Pokhran in May 1998, which is an indicator of the country’s self-reliance in the field of science & technology. The theme for this year’s National Technology Day 2022 was “Integrated Approach in science and technology for a sustainable future” and was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Education’s IIC (MIC) and Institutional Innovation Council SMVDU. The convener of the Webinar Dr. Ajay Kaul, Dean Faculty of Engineering warmly greeted the audience, and highlighted the relevance of the Webinar theme and its relevance in today’s era.The Keynote speaker of the Webinar, Dr. Karan Nathwani, faculty member at IIT Jammu, emphasized the “Importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern world” and delivered an excellent lecture covering all aspects of Machine learning and artificial Intelligence. The students of various programs, and primarily Ph.D. students along with faculty members participated in the event. Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, congratulated the Dean of Faculty of Engineering on commemorating the important day with a webinar on the apt topic.Mr. Manoj Kumar Verma, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Science & Engineering, and co-convener of the webinar delivered the vote of thanks.
