The School of Computer Science and Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), organized a webinar on “Introduction to Machine Learning” in line with the PM’s vision of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 6th September 2021.
The Webinar was held virtually via Google Meet and organized by Mr Manoj Verma, Faculty, School of Computer Science & Engineering (SoCSE), SMVDU. The welcome address was delivered by Dr Ajay Kaul, Faculty, SoCSE in which he highlighted the relevance of the webinar’s theme, stating the role of Machine Learning in the present time.The keynote speaker of the webinar, Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Thapar University, Patiala, emphasized the “Importance of Machine Learning”. He discussed various Machine Learning-based applications and models that are being used on a daily basis which are transforming the technology and making it capable of doing complex jobs. Ms Insha Altaf, Research Scholar, of SoCSE, delivered the vote of thanks.
