SMVDU Katra, Oct. 2020. Dr. Amitabh Vikram Dwivedi, Faculty, School of Languages & Literature, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, has been awarded with “Eminent Intl. Educational Leader Award 2020” by the International Society of Teachers, Administrators and Researchers (ISTAR), Global Headquarters, Thailand, in recognition of his significant and altruistic contribution to educational administration, research and publication during International Research and Development Congress (23-25 October 2020) on Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages.
Dr. Dwivedi has been quite active in research and publication, and even during lockdown he has delivered thirty keynote, plenary and guest lectures in various conferences, seminars and congresses nationwide and internationally. Also, he has been an impetus for documenting regional and lesser-known languages, including Dogri, Bhadarwahi, Sarazi and others of Jammu & Kashmir. The National Digital Library of India (NDLI), MHRD, features his 19 lectures in the public domain.
Dr. Dwivedi has published 180 research papers, articles and chapters to SCI & SCOPUS journals, including Knowledge Resources, chiefly EBSCO and to 16 encyclopedias, published by Springer-Nature, SAGE, Rowman & Littlefield, and ABC-CLIO Publications.
Also, the UNESCO Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger refers to his two works on the Bhadarwahi language at its official website. His published books are found in the libraries of University of Stanford & Princeton.
