The School of Business (SoB) organized an insightful pre-placement presentation and interactive career session for MBA students specializing in Finance. The session featured senior corporate leaders Mr. Varun Gupta (Territory Head) and Mr. Rahul Kumar (Area Head) from HDFC Life, who engaged with students to provide clarity on industry expectations and upcoming career opportunities.
During the presentation, the speakers delivered a comprehensive overview of HDFC Life’s history, core operations, organizational culture, and market footprint. They outlined specific job profiles and responsibilities within the financial services domain, highlighting the key technical competencies, analytical skills, and evaluation criteria required for prospective candidates.
Mr. Gupta and Mr. Kumar also guided the students through the multi-stage recruitment process, detailing the assessment methodologies at each phase.
The event was held under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Arti Maini (Head, School of Business), Prof. Ashutosh Vashistha (Dean, Faculty of Management), and Prof. Supran Kumar Sharma. The session was coordinated by Dr. Rashi Taggar.
The presentation concluded with an interactive Q&A session where the resource persons addressed queries regarding compensation structures, performance-based incentives, training protocols, work targets, internal transfers, and career progression paths. The session provided the MBA Finance cohort with valuable industry exposure and actionable insights as they prepare for the corporate drive.
