Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and Punjab National Bank (PNB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide preferential educational loan services to all students enrolling in the university.
The MoU was signed by Shri Pankaj Kumar Verma, Circle Head Jammu, Punjab National Bank, and Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, in the presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar. The occasion was also graced by Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean Academic Affairs; Prof. Amit Kant Pandit, Chairperson, Admission Cell; Mr. Vivek Verma, D. Registrar (Legal); and Mr. Rahul Gupta, Assistant Registrar , from SMVDU, along with Shri Abhishek Mahajan, Branch Head, Katra, and Shri Rohit Sharma, Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank.Under the agreement, PNB will extend preferential educational loan facilities to present and upcoming students admitted to the university every year. SMVDU will also display the bank’s details on its official website and publicize the arrangement in its upcoming prospectus.
Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof.c Pragati Kumar, said that SMVDU is committed to ensuring quality education in the region and making every possible effort to support students in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.Registrar, Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma stated that the university looks forward to further cooperation with Punjab National Bank in areas such as human resource training and other mutually beneficial initiatives.The association is expected to benefit students by improving access to educational finance, while also strengthening the long-term relationship between SMVDU and Punjab National Bank.
