The School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, under the able leadership of Prof. Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, organized a special lecture on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” on April 30, 2026.
The session was delivered by Mr. Annil Suri, Founder of Tawi Electrodes, Jammu, and Managing Director of Advantec Wheels, Jammu. Drawing from his rich entrepreneurial journey, he shared valuable life experiences, insights on innovation, and practical perspectives on building and sustaining ventures. The lecture was highly engaging and interactive, encouraging active participation from students. The session concluded with an insightful question-and-answer round, where students sought guidance on entrepreneurship and career pathways.
A total of 178 students and faculty members from the School of Business attended the session. The event was planned under the guidance of Prof. Ashutosh Vashishtha, Dean, Faculty of Management, School of Business, and was graced by Dr. Arti Maini, Head, School of Business, along with Dr. Rashi Taggar, Associate Professor, School of Business.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Ritu Rana and Dr. Ketan Bhatt, Assistant Professors, School of Business. The session was effectively moderated by Ms. Aresha Qureshi, an MBA first-year student. The lecture served as a valuable platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain real-world insights and motivation to pursue innovative ventures.
