SMVDU Students Explore Advanced AI Innovations at AI Summit 2026, New Delhi

As part of their academic and industry exposure visit, a group of 34 B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) attended the AI Summit 2026, held in New Delhi from 16th to 20th February 2026. The visit provided students with an opportunity to closely observe the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and related technologies through interactive sessions and large-scale industry exhibitions.

During the summit, students explored a diverse range of exhibition stalls featuring innovations by leading technology companies, startups, and research organizations. The exhibition area served as a practical learning platform where students could interact directly with developers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts, gaining insights into how AI solutions are designed, deployed, and scaled in real-world environments.

One of the major highlights of the visit was the interaction with an alumni-led startup showcased at the summit. Mr. Durgesh Satyam, an alumnus of SMVDU CSE Deptt., presented his venture Supista, which demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence can be effectively used to automate complete business workflows. Supista showcased an AI-driven ERP platform with integrated modules such as procurement management, inventory and warehousing solutions, human resource management systems, and operations management. Students learned how businesses can automate their day-to-day processes simply by prompting their requirements, while gaining real-time, 360-degree insights through AI-enabled business intelligence and agentic AI.

In addition to enterprise AI solutions, the students witnessed live demonstrations of walking robots, highlighting advancements in robotics, autonomous movement, and human–machine interaction. The exhibition also featured innovations in sovereign cloud technologies, emphasizing secure and region-specific cloud infrastructures designed to ensure data sovereignty and compliance with national regulations.

Overall, the visit enabled students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. Interacting with alumni entrepreneurs, startup founders, and industry professionals motivated students to explore innovation-driven career paths and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary skills in the evolving AI ecosystem.

The participation of SMVDU students in AI Summit 2026 reflects the university’s strong emphasis on experiential learning, industry engagement, and exposure to emerging technologies, preparing students to meet future challenges in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and intelligent systems
