Students from School of Computer Science & Engineering , Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) attended the AI Impact Summit – Pre-Summit Event held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu on 29-01.2026. The event was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, with Microsoft Research as the industry partner.
The event featured expert talks by eminent academicians and industry professionals on the theme “Reimagining Education in an AI-enabled World.” The sessions highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming education, research, and skill development.
SoCSE, SMVDU students actively participated in the event by attending the expert lectures and interacting with the speakers, engaging in meaningful discussions on emerging trends and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Naveen Kr. Gondhi and Dr. Sonika Gupta, faculty members of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU.
