The students of B.Tech. Mathematics and Computing (3 rd semester) and faculty members from School of Mathematics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) visited the RVS iGlobal Jammu office as part of their ongoing Industrial Visit Program, aimed at enhancing academic–industry collaboration and offering students exposure to real-world technological environments under PM-USHA Scheme. During the visit, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Chief Operations Officer of RVS iGlobal, welcomed the delegation and provided an insightful briefing on emerging technologies and future opportunities for young professionals. He also held a detailed meeting with Mr. B.K. Bhatia, Head of Placements, SMVDU, and Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Associate Professor & Head, School of Mathematics, SMVDU, to discuss collaboration opportunities, including internships, training programs, and potential recruitment drives for SMVDU students. Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma and Dr. Anu Choudhary also accompanied the students in this industrial visit. Dr. Vivek Kumar coordinated the whole event. As part of the program, senior team members from RVS delivered engaging presentations on key technology domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Technologies, and Cybersecurity. These sessions provided students with valuable insights into industry trends, practical applications, and the essential skills required to excel in today’s technology-driven sectors. After the sessions, a Quiz game is organised for students which was very interesting, and everyone participated enthusiastically. The quiz made the learning much more enjoyable. After that, students were taken on a complete office tour. This was one of the most exciting parts of the visit. Students observed the functioning of the firewalls, coordination of different departments, and functioning of the workspace. Students also saw their recreation area called “Vishram”, which included a gym. The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged enthusiastically with the RVS team to gain clarity on career pathways, technological advancements, and innovation-driven roles within the company. SMVDU expressed gratitude to RVS iGlobal for hosting a highly informative and impactful industrial visit at their Jammu office, reinforcing the ongoing commitment to fostering strong academic–industry partnerships.
