A highly informative session on “The Transition and Growth in the Banking Sector” was conducted featuring Ms. Ana Mahajan, Chief Manager at the State Bank of India, currently posted in Dehradun and handling the crucial responsibility of Financial Inclusion.
An alumna of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (MBA Batch -2008), Ms. Mahajan shared her inspiring corporate journey in India’s largest public sector bank and offered valuable insights into the evolution of banking — from traditional models to today’s dynamic, tech-enabled landscape. She emphasized how the sector is being transformed by digital innovation, AI integration, and a shift toward inclusive, customer-driven services.
Highlighting the importance of marketing, analytical thinking, and adaptability, she encouraged students to develop future-ready skills and embrace continuous learning to thrive in a rapidly changing environment. Her insights on AI in banking, data-driven decision-making, and reaching unbanked populations were especially impactful.
The session was an enriching experience, equipping students with practical industry knowledge, clarity on emerging roles, and the mindset needed to grow in today’s evolving financial ecosystem. The management students expressed their gratitude towards the Ms. Mahajan for enlightening them.
