SMVDU Katra, 18thSept,18. Prof. V. Verma, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra chaired a session on “Current Scenario of Biotechnology,” and delivered an invited lecture on “Next Generation sequence analysis of the Metagenomic DNA for Microbiome Biodiversity in soil from North Western Himalayas of J&K” at the 22nd Global Biotechnology Conference held at Stockholms, Sweden from September 10-11, 2018.The international conference was sponsored by editors of Journal of Cell Science and Therapy, Journal of Biology & Medicine and Journal of Biomaterials and Biotechnology and University of Stockholms, Sweden. The event wasattended by more than 200 scientists and researchers across the globe. The conference deliberated on 26 major wide ranging sessions based on current areas of research in Biotechnology which included inter alia Current Scenario of Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering and Metabolic Engineering, Biosensor, Biophysics, Plant Biotechnology and Tissue culture, Agricultural Biotechnology, Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, Forensic Science, Environmental Biotechnology and Petroleum biotechnology, Nano biotechnology and Vaccine Technology, and alike. Prof. Sanjeev Jain, the Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the eminent professor and scientist.
