SMVDU Katra, 14thSept, 2018. Hindi Pakhwara’s celebrations and festivities began at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, on Hindi Diwas, 14th September. The event was inaugurated with a formal welcome address by Dr. Anil Tewari, Nodal Officer of Hindi Cell where he highlighted the significance of Hindi Day, and read a poem in Hindi. A cultural program was organized on this occasion, along with the screening of last year’s video clip reminiscing celebrations, followed up by poem recitation by Dr. Madhu Mangal Chaturvedi, Dr. Saurabh Shrivastav, Anurag Sharma, Bindu, Biraj, Mohit, Radhika Sharma, Nikhil, Kanika, Kartikey, Arnav and Ishani. Little Hotrikamesmerised everyone with her graceful Bharatnatyam dance. Lastly, Mr. Paras Dubey, the studentsecretary of Hindi Cell, briefed about the forthcoming events to be organized in the coming 14 days. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented to audience.
