Live Streaming of the launch of (PM-USHA) Scheme by Hon’ble Prime Minister at SMVD University

Under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan  (PM-USHA) Scheme by Ministry of Education Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India has approved Grants to strengthen Universities and accordingly under the scheme Grant has been approved in favour of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University to the tune of  Rs. 20 crores. A digital launch of the multi-projects including PM-USHA by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,  Sh. Narendra Modi was organized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India through video conferencing on 20-02-2024 from MA Stadium Jammu. More than 700 participants including Faculty, Staff and Students witnessed the Live Streaming of the event at the Matrika Auditorium of SMVD University. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SMVD University, Prof. Pragati Kumar in his address announced the news of sanction of the grants under PM-USHA Scheme with emphasis on the principles of utilization for development of university and expansion of programs. The Dean Academic Affairs  of SMVD University, Prof. Balbir Singh,  highlighted  the PM-USHA   features  for strengthening the university  on the basis of NEP implementation at SMVDU.
