The NSS unit of SMVDU, Katra organized Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu (JKTWS). The donation drive was organized on the occasion of World Aids Day. The camp was organized to collect blood units for Thalassemia children. University students enthusiastically participated in the donation drive. Around 50 units of blood was collected from the drive. Er. Sudhir Sethi, President, JKTWS and Joint Secretary, Mr. Puneet Gandotra were also present during the drive and appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers. Dr. Rubina Kausar from GMC Jammu with her team and equipped bus facility was there to collect the blood units. University NSS coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar and co-coordinator, Dr. Kamaldeep thanked JKTWS team, GMC team and University Medical Aid Centre team led by Dr. Anju Sharma for their support in successfully organizing the camp. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar appreciated the initiative taken by the NSS team and efforts of NSS volunteers.
