SMVDU Faculty Delivers Invited Talk at SAE India

Dr. Ankush Raina and Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq Assistant Professors from the school of Mechanical Engineering, delivered a joint talk on the topic “Tribology of NanoFluids for Automotive Applications” during an online Professional Development Program webinar series hosted by society of Automotive Engineers, India. The event was attended by participants from industry and academia. The talk focused on various applications of tribology in automobile sector, various nanoadditives used in lubricants, sustainability aspects of lubrication, global and Indian market trends and challenges associated. The speakers also showcased the research findings carried out at SMVDU in the area of nanolubrication. The speakers opined that the knowledge of better tribological practices could help to improve the life of lubricants and could help to reduce the carbon footprint of the automotive sector as a whole. The speakers acknowledged the support by school of mechanical Engineering and SMVDU administration for carrying out the studies that were shared with the participants.
