Four-week Training Programme on Administrative Skills Inaugurated at SMVDU

A month-long training programme on enriching administrative skills was inaugurated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra on 27th June 2022. The programme is being organized by the Directorate of Quality Assurance (DQA), SMVDU for administrative officers to enhance their administrative skills. Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was the Chief Guest of the inaugural event. Dr. A. K. Das, Director DQA introduced the concept and course contents of the Training Programme. He emphasised on the importance of hands-on training to be provided on various topics to the participants, including Establishment Rules, Taxation, Audit, Laws related to women empowerment, RTI, Stress Management, Leadership Skills, Contract Management, Time Management and Attitude Building, etc.

Sh. Neeraj Gupta, Finance Officer & Registrar, SMVD University addressed participants and emphasised the good administrative skills and knowledge required for the fulfilment of statutory obligations of an institute, which could only be achieved by trained administrators. The Chief Guest, Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU appreciated the team for organising such a unique kind of program for Assistant Registrar, Deputy Registrar level officers, and desired that in this changing scenario such programmes should be organised very frequently for updating knowledge and administrative skills. The vote of thanks was presented by Ms Bhawna Mishra, Assistant Registrar, and Organizing Secretary of the programme. The inaugural session was also attended by today’s resource person Mr M. C. Panda, Deans of Faculties, Heads of the Schools, Dr Vineet Tyagi, Dr Kamni Pathania, Section Heads, and Participants from various states such as Kerala, Assam, UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, Ladakh, Hariyana.
