Prof. Eswaramoorthy from the School of Mechanical Engineering at SMVDU delivered an invited talk on the “National Green Hydrogen Mission 2023” at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The college is an autonomous institute affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. As the Vice President (South) of the Solar Energy Society of India in New Delhi, Prof. Eswaramoorthy provided insights on the 17 sustainable development goals, with a particular focus on the goals of affordable and clean energy, as well as climate action. The talk centered around the generation of green hydrogen, safety norms and standards for its storage and utilization, and the expected outcomes of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. During the interactive session, students and faculty members had the opportunity to engage with a subject expert and discuss their queries and concerns. The talk served as an informative and insightful session, contributing to the growing awareness of sustainable energy practices and the importance of green hydrogen in India’s energy mix.
