SMVDU Faculty Delivers Invited Talk at IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh

SMVDU Katra, December 2019. Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Faculty, School of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), delivered an invited talk in 4th international and 19th national conference on Machines and Mechanisms (inacomm-2019), organized by School of Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, during 5th-7th December, 2019. This conference was sponsored by the Department of Sciences and Technology, Government of India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, Indian space Research Organization (ISRO), BHEL and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The conference witnessed a huge participation from all over the world, and a total of 150 research papers were presented. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. S. Bhattacharya, Fayetteville state University, USA, Prof. Guirong Liu, Director, University of Cincinnati, USA, Prof. A. Md. Mahbub, Shenzhen, Graduate School of Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Other invited speakers were Prof. S.K. Saha, IIT Delhi, Prof. C. Amarnath, IIT Bombay, Prof. B.K.Mishra, IIT Roorkee, Prof. G.K. Ananthasuresh, IISC, Bangalore, Dr, S. Guruprasad, Director, DRDO and Dr. Lalit singh, Scientist, NPCIL, DAE, Govt. of India. A number of deliberations were made on the applications of dynamics of Machines, Man-machine Systems, Manufacturing, Condition Monitoring, Rotor Dynamics and Energy and Environment. Dr. Sharma discussed the lubrication characteristics of hydrodynamic bearing with partial and fully textured surface. Dr. Sharma expressed his deep sense of gratitude towards the organizers of the conference for inviting him in the conference. He has also thanked the Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU &Head of School of Mechanical Engineering for thier support and encouragement.
