School of Mathematics

The School initially started as School of Applied Physics & Mathematics in the year 2005-2006. However, in 2007 it evolved as a separate full-fledged school. The objective of the School is to pursue research besides offering courses to the Under Graduate and Post Graduate students in Mathematics. The school has at present 08 energetic and dedicated faculty members in many diverse areas of pure and applied mathematics.

The School has a Computer Laboratory equipped with internet facility and required latest software for the use of M.Sc. students and research scholars. The School of Mathematics has enriched Library with numerous books in all the areas of pure and applied mathematics which is funded by NBHM (National Board for Higher Mathematics), School of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The school has also been actively engaged in organizing conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes and training programmes for both teachers and students.

Having started the PhD programme and 2-year M.Sc. programme in Mathematics in 2007. The school also supports all the engineering, science and business schools by offering core/elective/open elective and advance courses in mathematics at the Undergraduate B.Tech. and Postgraduate Level over a number of semesters.

Many of the M.Sc. students have gone for higher studies in reputed universities within India. Regarding campus placement, some of the recruiters of our students are software companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS and some company from Banking sectors.
