A week long online workshop on life skills, organised by the Faculty Development Centre -SMVDU, under PMMMNMTT was inaugurated at SMVD University in which around hundred participants from Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu Maharashtra and extreme North East with diverse specializations have enrolled in. Dr. Suparn Kumar Sharma, Coordinator, FDC-SMVDU & Dean, Faculty of Management, highlighted the achievements of FDC-SMVDU. He said that activity based sessions like laughter yoga, meditation, emotional management, team management, stress management and others will be conducted. Dr. Abhilasha Singh, Vice President, Academic Affairs, American University, Dubai was the special guest invitee on the occasion. While defining life skills as the abilities of adaptive and positive behaviour, she stated that these are the skills that we learn and teach throughout life.
Dr. Sharada Potukuchi, Convener, Workshop & Head, School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, welcomed all the delegates and gave opening remarks while emphasizing on the importance of conducting such FDP. In her welcome address, Dr. Ratna Chandra, Coordinator of the Programme welcomed the participants and outlined the various categories of the life skills. Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Co Coordinator, of the programme highlighted the importance of such workshops in lifelong learning. The Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. R K Sinha congratulated the team on organising the workshop. The Registrar, SMVDU, Shri NK Jamwal (JKAS) also conveyed his wishes for the success of the workshop. The proceedings of the ceremony were conducted by Dr. Divya Jamwal , faculty member, School of Business. Ms. Sonika Gupta , Organizing Secretary, delivered the vote of thanks.
