The NSS SMVDU organized an “Animal Welfare Rally” to help the animals (dogs) at the campus. It was a small initiative by the NSS volunteers with the vision – “working towards a future of ending the suffering for all animals”.
Around 60 volunteers participated in the rally marching together and spreading awareness with their slogans. Volunteer Sharnam and Vishally led this event and also briefed about how to treat the stray dogs. Feeding the right thing to the dogs for example sweet and salty food must be avoided as they act like slow poison for them. Volunteers are also working on making dog shelters in the university premises.
