SMVDU Members attend IIC Meet at Punjab University

Dr. Ankush Raina, Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering and member IIC (Institute’s Innovation Council) represented SMVDU at the IIC regional meet hosted by Punjab University, Chandigarh. The event was conducted under the banner of Atmanirbhar Bharat, with an aim of promoting the vision of Make in India campaign among Start-Ups, Entrepreneurs, IIC Institutes, and Innovators. Mr. Aditya Kanodia, B. Tech student of Computer Science and Engineering also participated in the regional meet to showcase his ideas. During the event, the representatives from SMVDU collaborated with peers, exchanging insights and forging networks that could potentially lead to collaborative projects in the future. The open house activities featured pitching sessions, IIC poster display, KARTVYABODH and innovation demonstration, as well as an entrepreneurs’ market known as the Udyami Bazaar. Innovators from YUKTI got the chance to showcase their ideas and technologies to panelists. IIC, SMVDU President, Dr. Ashutosh Vashistha and Convener, Dr. Sanjeev Anand conveyed their vision to involve all the stakeholders of SMVDU IIC in innovation and to promote it at all levels for the benefit of society at large. Dr. Raina expressed his gratitude to the Vice chancellor SMVDU Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar for providing him an opportunity to attend the regional meet and expressed his eagerness to implement newfound knowledge and insights gained from the event within SMVDU’s academic and innovation ecosystem.
