One week (November 23-27,, 2020) online course Short Term Course on “Introduction of CFD Problems on Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer” was inaugurated today here at SMVD University through a virtual platform.
The course was organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU, and was coordinated by Dr. Sanjay Sharma & Er. Varun Dutta, Assistant Professor.
The course has received an enormous response from the faculty, scholar & industry personnel from India & abroad. More than 40% of participants are registered from countries like Singapore, UAE, Malta (Europe), and Bangladesh. The course also covers participation from industries like ABB, Chemi Tech, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, and others.
Prof. Eswaramoorthy Muthusamy, Registrar, SMVDU, graced the occasion by speaking on the importance of this course & encouraged the participants to get benefited from it.
The course consists of hands-on training sessions with computational tools such as Ansys, Open-Foam, etc., from prominent speakers from reputed institutions such as Rolls Royce’s University Technological Centre, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, & NIT Manipur.
The Dean of Students, Dr. Balbir Singh, and HoD, School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU, also spoke on the occasion and wished that the researchers and students would be benefitted by enhancing their knowledge in the field of modelling and simulation.
