Alumni Association, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University inaugurated a one-day seminar on “Industry Readiness- Post Covid Scenario: An Alumni Perspective” on 11th March 2022. The seminar was conducted for the graduate and post graduate students to provide them a perspective on the tools and skills required to enter the industry in the post covid scenario.In the inaugural address, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ajay Kaul, emphasized the adoption of skill based education and highlighted the various opportunities that the post Covid scenario has thrown open to the young graduates.Keynote speaker, Mr. Sudeep Kaul, Sales & Marketing Manager, Aditya Birla Group, delved on the changes that the industry has witnessed during the covid pandemic and how that will change the job landscape in near future.
Dr. Sakshi Arora, President, Alumni Association, encouraged the students to focus on the expanding digital arena that lay ahead in the post covid scenario and the increasing dependence of manufacturing and other sectors on automation & digitalization of processes.Dr. Mir-Irfan-ul-Haq, Secretary Alumni Association, briefed about the efforts of the university in encouraging the entrepreneurial adventures and the steps taken in identifying the opportunities in the field of digital innovations through startups.The proceeding were followed by an interesting question & answer session after which, Dr. Ankush Raina, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, delivered a formal Vote of Thanks.
