The NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of SMVDU organized an orientation program encompassing all branches of UG programs. The primary aim of the event was to acquaint students with the array of activities carried out by the NSS unit and to inspire them to become part of NSS initiatives. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the NSS Program Coordinator, elucidated the significance of NSS in students’ personal development, community outreach, and nation-building endeavours. During the program, NSS volunteer Sadhvi Sharma delineated various activities undertaken by the unit over the past year, offering students insights into the breadth of their undertakings. Additionally, comprehensive guidance was provided to students regarding their potential participation as volunteers in the University’s NSS unit. The orientation program attracted approximately 500 students. Notably, Dr. Kamaldeep, the NSS Co-coordinator, also addressed the event with their presence, further enhancing its significance.
