One-week online Faculty Development Program on “Research Avenues and Challenges in Industry 4.0”, organized by Faculty Development Centre (FDC) in collaboration with School of Mechanical Engineering (SoME) concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.Dr. Balbir Singh, Coordinator workshop, thanked all participants for successfully completing the program. Dr. Singh also expressed gratitude to all experts who had shared insights on cutting edge technologies of industry 4.0. Prof. M. Eswaramurthy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, congratulated all participants for upgrading their professional skills. Dr. Supran K Sharma, FDC Coordinator and Dean, Faculty of Management highlighted the importance of Industry 4.0 towards manufacturing and start up ventures for future knowledge based industries.
Chief Guest Dr. V Vasu from NIT. Warangal advised all faculty members to upgrade themselves with nine pillars of Industry 4.0 technologies. Prof. S.K. Saha from IIT Delhi organized Team based online project (TOP) scheme involving all participants to present on technologies to make this FDP a truly learning platform. Dr. Amit Sinha, SoME, offered a vote of thanks to VC, SMVDU, Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Sh. Nagendra S Jamwal, Registrar, SMVDU, Deans FoE and Dean FoM and all participants and supporting staff in completing this program successfully for teaching-leaning towards industry 4.0.
