The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVD University inaugurated the “Entrepreneurship Development Program” sponsored by the higher education department, J&K from 7th March 2022 to 14th March 2022. The program has been designed for the college students in which around 75 students from different colleges of JK are participating. In the inaugural address, Prof. R.K. Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, motivated students to become job creators rather than job seekers and advised them to apply the knowledge to pursue their interests.
Mrs. Anoo Malhotra (KAS), Director, Industries & Commerce and Guest of Honour, emphasized the adoption of green ways of industrialization and knowledge of local resources, and she highlighted the opportunities available in various schemes of the UT of J&K. Dr. Yasmeen Ashai, Director Colleges, Higher Education Dept. J&K, emphasized the reforms in higher education courses through technology and entrepreneurship.Earlier, Dr. Supran Kr. Sharma, Program Coordinator, emphasized that the programme has been conceived to make the young generation aware of what is happening around them. Sh. Nagendra Singh Jamwal (KAS), Registrar, SMVDU, briefed about the efforts of SMVDU in encouraging innovation and identifying opportunities for entrepreneurial ventures. Dr. Sharada Potukuchi, Dean Academic Affairs, delivered the formal vote of thanks.
