Dr. M. Anusha Wijewardane, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka who is currently associated with the University of Dundee UK has delivered an invited talk on The Role of Hydrogen in the Energy System ecarbonization in an online mode for final year B. Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. students of the School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU. The talk covered the background on climate change and climate action worldwide, the importance of hydrogen fuel with other fuels. Various hydrogen generation and storage methods at micro and macro level capacity. The Expert also focused on research avenues in the area of green hydrogen generation and techno-economic analysis. Students interacted with the speaker during the question and answer session. Prof. Eswaramoorthy and Prof. Ragavendra Kumar Mishra coordinated the event and acknowledged the support and approval of Prof Pragati Kumar, Honorable Vice Chancellor of SMVDU.
