12th January, the Birth Anniversary of the Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902) is celebrated as National Youth Day. In the year 1984, the Union Government of India declared his birthday to be celebrated as National Youth Day (राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस). Theme for the celebration of the 158th Anniversary this year is “Channelizing Youth Power for Nation Building”.
On this occasion, the School of Philosophy & Culture (SoPC) has organized a Webinar on the topic Swami Vivekananda’s Ideas on Education and the New Education Policy 2020 of Bharat (शिक्षा पर स्वामी विवेकानन्द के विचार और भारत की नई शिक्षा नीति 2020). The speakers included Dr. Anil Tewari, Head, SoPC, Dr. Narendra Bairwa, Asst. Prof., School of Biotechnology, Mr. Sandeep Tiwari, PhD student, School of Economics, Ms. Anisha Singh, 1st year MBA student, Ms. Sagun Gupta, 3rd year B. Tech student and Ms. Srishti Sharma, 4th year B. Tech student.More than 50 students, faculty and staff members attended the celebration.
