The School of Computer Science and Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), conducted a webinar on “Importance of Blood Donation” aligned with the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 29th June, 2021.
The Webinar was held virtually via Google Meet. The convener of the Webinar Dr. Ajay Kaul, in his welcome speech, highlighted the relevance of the Webinar theme, stating the prime significance of blood donation and changing the negative attitude shown by people towards donating blood.
The Keynote speaker of the Webinar, Dr. Rita Kumari, emphasized on the “Importance of Blood Donation”. She discussed various preventive measures to be taken while donating blood.She concluded her presentation with the saying: “You don’t have to be a Doctor to save lives. Just Donate Blood”.
Mr. Manoj Kumar Verma, Convener of the Workshop, thanked the keynote speaker, Organizing Committee, Vice Chancellor “Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha”, Registrar “N.S. Jamwal”, and the participants from various institutes. He also expressed the hope that this webinar will provide a platform for fruitful discussions.
