Alumnus from Australia Delivers Talk at SMVDU

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) welcomed back alumnus, Mr. Rahul Bakaya, Chief Growth Officer at Property Dollar, Australia, for an insightful talk titled “Life at SMVDU and the Transition to the Professional World.” Mr. Rahul Bakaya, a 2010 Batch pass out of School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU interacted with the students and spoke at length about the dynamics of the professional world and the habits to be inculcated for succeeding in professional life. He also thanked his alma mater, SMVDU for imparting values and skills needed to become a good human being for the nation and world at large. Mr. Bakaya’s subsequent talk offered invaluable insights into life at SMVDU and the seamless transition to the dynamic professional world, igniting aspirations among the eager audience of students and faculty.

Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU spoke about the importance of alumni contributions to the institution’s legacy and the role of alumni in handholding juniors. Prof. Kumar also shared his vision to improve the outreach of the university.  Dr. Yugal Khajuria, Dean International and Alumni Affairs and Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma(JKAS) , Registrar SMVDU also spoke at the occasion and thanked the alumni and advised the students to follow the footsteps of the successful alumni.

Dr. Balbir Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, SMVDU, Mr. B.K. Bhatia, TPO SMVDU and senior faculty members of the university were also present during the felicitation of the guests. 

The proceedings of the function were carried out by Dr. Kamini (Assistant Professor, SoP,SMVDU). Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq (Associate Dean, International and Alumni Affairs), coordinated the event.
