SMVDU: The Directorate of Quality Assurance, SMVDU, organized a training program titled “Noting and Drafting I & II” for the staff members of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. The resource person for the sessions, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Registrar, Research and Development Wing, SMVDU, emphasized the essentials of effective noting and drafting. Mr. Sharma explained the techniques and key features for writing effective office notes, minutes of meetings, and drafting notifications and circulars. He also highlighted the importance of these techniques for enhancing the overall efficiency of employees. Additionally, Mr. Sharma discussed the file management system for efficient record-keeping in offices.
The session saw active participation from various members of the university. Through a detailed PowerPoint presentation, Mr. Sharma explained the differences between various forms of office communication, such as notifications, notices, circulars, inter-office correspondence, office orders, and orders.
Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, conveyed warm wishes on the occasion. Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Supran K. Sharma, the Directorate of Quality Assurance at SMVDU regularly organizes training programs on relevant topics, including stress management, administrative rules, communication skills, personality development, computer skills, leadership skills, purchase management, and capacity enhancement. Recognizing the importance of regular knowledge upgradation to improve productivity and quality in educational institutions of national and international repute, the Directorate has prepared a comprehensive calendar for the academic year.
