TARANG Ignited: A Spark for Electronics Enthusiasts at SMVDU

The LT-4 Hall at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, buzzed with excitement on March 4th, 2024, as the Introductory session of TARANG – The Electronics Society was held. This event marked a significant milestone for students passionate about the ever-evolving field of electronics.

The session was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members, Dr. Neeraj Tripathi Faculty Coordinator at TARANG, Dr. Anil Bhardwaj Head SoECE, and Dr. Vikram Singh. Their insights ignited a spirit of collaboration and innovation among the students. All three faculties of this esteemed university emphasized the importance of practical application, encouraging students to bridge the gap between theory and real-world implementation.

The Head Team of TARANG consisting of Sonu, Yashwant, Aman Maurya, Akhil, Abhinav, Arnav, Anshu, Lav Kush, Deeksha, Sneha, Vanshita, and Upasana, played a pivotal role in bringing the vision of the society to life. They elucidated the society’s aims, objectives, and functioning, providing a clear roadmap for aspiring members. Additionally, they shed light on the vast array of domains within electronics, highlighting the importance of teamwork and collaboration with other departments. Notably, they emphasized that TARANG is an inclusive space where individuals can develop their overall personality and hone valuable skills.

The session unfolded in two phases, interspersed with an engaging questionnaire and crossword event that tested the students’ knowledge and piqued their interest. This interactive format fostered a dynamic learning environment, allowing students to participate actively.

The launch of TARANG marks a new chapter for electronics enthusiasts at SMVDU. With its focus on practical learning, collaboration, and inclusivity, the society promises to provide a platform for students to explore their passion, develop their skills, and contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving world of technology.
