SMVDU Katra. The World Environment Day was celebrated on 5 June at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, following the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. RK Sinha, planted many new varieties of plants across the scenic and beautiful campus of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Prof. Sinha emphasized that every individual should have an awareness of environmental issues, and how he can save the planet Earth from global warming. Further, he states that we should move toward sustainable consumption. Also, he says that all should raise awareness, support action, and drive changes in the environment. Deans & Heads of Schools and Sections Heads of various departments also planted saplings.
