SMVDU Katra, May 2019. Two-week Faculty Development Program on “Marketing Research and Business Analytics with Econometric Applications in Business Management” inaugurated at theSchool of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. During the inaugural address, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) D. Mukhopadhyay, wished for constructive learning and advised for participatory mode of learning for all the participants. On the occasion, Prof. V.K.Bhat, Registrar, SMVDU, provided tips for effective learning in the area of econometric tools. This program has witnessed participation from 18 different institutes/ universities including Ambedkar University, Lucknow; University of Delhi; Manipur University; MKB University, Bhavanagar; St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore; University of Mauritius, L.R.T. College of Commerce, Akala; NIFTEM, NCR; BIMTECH, Greater Noida; Bhosle College, Ratnagiri apart from University of Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, etc. This two-week long event consists of training on basic econometric tools, confirmatory analysis, time series data analysis, panel data measurement, market efficiency, structural equation modeling and other qualitative tools of business analytics. Earlier during the inaugural function, Head, School of Business, Dr. Saurabh welcomed the participants and wished them better learning. The Programme Coordinator, Dr. Supran Kr. Sharma, talked about the different session, including the hands-on training session to be conducted during this two-week long programme. Dr. Rashi Taggar, Organizing Secretary, offered formal the vote of thanks. The event would witness resource persons from diverse background, including IIM, Jammu; South Asian University; University of Jammu; Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar apart from faculty members from School of Business and School of Economics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Participants are going to have learning with software like SPSS, GRETEL, R-Software, E-Views, Frontier, DEAP, etc. in the area of business analytics, marketing research and business data handling.
