SMVDU NCC Cadets Participate in “Start-Up Workshop” at NCC Academy Nagrota

NCC cadets of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, participated in the CADET Start-Up Workshop organized at NCC Academy, Nagrota, conducted by expert trainers from Exchange Participants Association India (EXPA), Bengaluru, Karnataka. The workshop was designed to provide comprehensive employability and entrepreneurship training programs focusing on developing essential soft skills, innovation mind-set, and competencies required in today’s rapidly evolving job market. During the workshop, cadets were exposed to interactive sessions on leadership, communication, teamwork, and business ideation, aimed at enhancing their confidence and preparing them for future career challenges. The training covered a wide range of entrepreneurial topics including identifying opportunities, building and selling innovative solutions, funding business ideas, and group presentations, thereby helping cadets to understand the complete process of transforming an idea into a viable venture. The program also encouraged cadets to explore entrepreneurial opportunities and develop innovative thinking aligned with the “Start-up India” vision. Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, stated that such training workshops are extremely valuable for cadets who aspire to start their own ventures after completing their studies, as they instill a sense of creativity, discipline, and self-reliance. Prof. Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, appreciated the NCC cadets for their enthusiastic participation and encouraged them to continue making the University proud through active involvement in skill development initiatives.
