Six NCC cadets from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) were selected to attend the prestigious All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) held at Bangalore. AIVSC is a prestigious annual event for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing where the top cadets from across India showcase aviation skills, discipline, and teamwork in competitions like microlight flying and aeromodelling. The camp provided an excellent platform for cadets from across the nation to showcase their skills, discipline, and knowledge in various Air Wing activities. During the camp, SMVDU cadets actively participated in aeromodelling, drone training, skeet shooting, drill, and tent pitching. They also took part in a series of competitions and examinations, including drill evaluation, tent pitching assessment, and Zen aircraft flying. The cadets gained valuable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of Air Wing training, discipline, and strategic planning through their participation in the camp. Commanding Officer (Air NCC), Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, and Ms. Kirti, In-charge, Air NCC Unit, SMVDU, congratulated the cadets on their remarkable achievement and dedication. Prof. Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, and Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, appreciated the efforts of the cadets and conveyed their best wishes for their continued success in future NCC endeavours.
