SMVDU: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, proudly hosted a group of enthusiastic students from HSS Barmeen, Udhampur, as part of its comprehensive outreach activity program. This initiative aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness about the opportunities available at higher educational institutions.
The visit was meticulously organized by the NSS and NCC teams of SMVDU, ensuring a well-rounded and informative experience for the young visitors. The coordination of the event was led by NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and NCC Coordinator, Dr. Varun Dutta, at SMVDU, along with NSS & NCC Student Volunteers. Prof. (Dr.) Balbir Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, SMVDU, in his welcome address, motivated the students to excel in life and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Throughout the day, the students, accompanied by their teachers, explored various state-of-the-art facilities within the university. They were given an in-depth tour of the Various Labs, Central Library, and Networking Centre. The tour also included a visit to the university’s impressive auditorium, where the students could envision themselves participating in future academic and extracurricular activities.
The visit served as a significant motivational boost for the students, encouraging them to aspire to join higher educational institutes upon completing their class 12th. More than 120 students, along with their dedicated teachers, actively participated in this educational excursion, gaining invaluable insights into university life and academic opportunities.
