SMVDU Faculty delivered an Expert Lecture on NEP 2020 at GND University

Professor Balbir Singh from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University delivered online expert lecture on ‘National Education Policy 2020: Students Diversity and Inclusive Education for Teachers of Higher Education Institutions’ in NEP Orientation and Sensitization Programme, held during 25 Dec 2023 to 03 Jan 2024 and organized by UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.  The lecture was well received and appreciated by faculty members across the northern region. Prof. Singh who is also a Dean, Academic Affairs in SMVDU dwelled upon features of National Education Policy 2020. The multidisciplinary, blended learning, choice-based credit systems, most flexible learning with multiple entry and exit, skilling, and employability with a light but tight regulatory framework are the hallmarks of NEP2020. Considering the changing scenario of the industry, the only survival and growth mantra for students and faculty is to learn emerging skills required by the industry as emphasized by Prof Singh in the discussion session. Effective integration of education with Industry based on inclusive and equity education in the Indian culture and values and Bhartiya Gyan Parampara are the only means to achieve the status of Viksit Bharat@2047 and Visvaguru.
